About Me
With over 20 years of experience in service-oriented professions, I find immense joy beyond words in helping others take steps to reach their goals and live a fulfilling life each day that is filled with tranquility. As a strong believer in self-care and personal growth, I know first-hand what it feels like to evaluate where you are in your life and make a decision to focus on growth through intentional healing. I practice therapy with a great deal of compassion, empathy, non-judgement, and understanding of the situations and circumstances in our lives that try to take away our peace, but only make us stronger when we decide to face them directly. Perhaps that time has come for you.
If your faith is valuable to you and a big part of your identify, we can use that as a strength to lean on in therapy. My faith is important to me, and I am always happy to incorporate faith-based counseling for clients who request it. I have personally found that leaning into God for daily support through prayer, worship, serving others, and meditating on His Word have greatly transformed my own life and the lives of those I work with to heal issues that seem insurmountable. If faith is not important to you, I completely honor and respect that, and we will always stick to what works best for you as the client.
I have been practicing mental health counseling since graduating from Virginia Tech in 2013 while continuing to gain certifications and trainings to support my clients over the years. I have enjoyed witnessing first-hand the power of clients cultivating healthy skills and strategies to heal, grow, and thrive. I have helped countless clients navigate a variety of issues within my scope of practice to create a life that does not feel limited by distress, but instead begins to feel fulfilling and brimming with possibilities. That is my greatest desire for you and your life.
